Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support physiotherapists in delivering patient-centered care, assist with therapy sessions, and help maintain an organized clinical environment. Duties
- Assist physiotherapists during patient therapy sessions, including setting up equipment and supporting exercises
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure all necessary supplies are ready for therapy sessions
- Support patient mobility and comfort during treatments, ensuring safety and proper technique
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment plans using case management software (Jane)
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding treatment procedures and progress
- Manage scheduling and coordinate appointments utilizing Microsoft Outlook and organizational skills
- Help with administrative tasks such as updating medical records and managing patient files
- Support with inventory management of medical supplies and equipment maintenance
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a clinical and outpatient setting
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, case management, and patient care procedures
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office software for documentation and communication purposes
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Demonstrated analysis skills for assessing patient needs and adapting support accordingly
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
