The Calgary office is seeking a Sales Representative to support the sales and marketing of specialized steel products—such as Line Pipe, OCTG, and various carbon, alloy, and stainless materials used in the oil and gas industry.
This role suits someone with 3–5 years of sales experience who enjoys building customer relationships, negotiating commercial terms, and managing projects from inquiry to delivery. The position involves close coordination with clients, suppliers, and internal teams in Canada and abroad.
Japanese language ability is a strong asset, as the role includes communication with colleagues and business partners in Japan and other international locations.

Main Job duties:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Identify new business opportunities and support business development initiatives.
- Conduct regular customer visits, sales calls, and account reviews.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from customer inquiries and quotations to contract execution and - delivery.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and commercial agreements with customers, suppliers, and service providers.
- Coordinate logistics, inspections, and other operational requirements to ensure successful order fulfillment.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Prepare sales forecasts, account plans, and business reports.
- Resolve customer concerns and support continuous improvement of products and services.
- Collaborate with internal and international teams to support customer needs and business growth.
Qualifications:
Minimum Required:
- 3–5 years of B2B sales, account management, or business development experience.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Business-level English required.
Preferred:
- Experience in steel, manufacturing, industrial products, energy, oil & gas, or a related industry.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of the North American energy and industrial markets.
- Experience working in an international business environment.
- Japanese language skills (speaking, reading, and writing) are a strong asset and highly preferred.
