Cashier (Full-time Only)
Location: Downtown Toronto | Grocery Store
Key Requirements (Important)
- Strong English communication and verbal expression skills (Mandarin/Cantonese is a plus)
- Legal authorization to work in Canada (valid work permit or study permit with work eligibility)
- Clear communication skills, responsible attitude, and strong customer service awareness
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment

Position Summary
We are currently hiring a Cashier to handle daily checkout operations and provide professional, friendly service to customers. This position requires good English communication skills, a responsible work ethic, and the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the POS system to process cash, debit, and credit card transactions
- Greet customers politely and provide efficient, friendly service
- Manage cash handling and ensure accurate daily balances
- Scan merchandise and verify pricing to ensure error-free transactions
- Answer basic customer inquiries and provide assistance when needed
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier area
- Process returns, exchanges, and discounts according to store procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Assist with other store duties as required
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or retail experience is an asset
- Basic spoken English communication skills required
- Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Basic math skills with the ability to handle cash accurately
- Ability to operate POS systems and basic computer functions
- Able to stand for extended periods

Pay: $18.00 per hour
