Opportunity Overview
We are currently seeking reliable individuals who are available between 9am & 4pm on weekdays, based in Vancouver to join our network of freelance drivers, housekeepers and companions. This role is ideal for individuals who value flexibility and are passionate about making a meaningful impact in their community.
As a Tuktu service provider, you will have the opportunity to set your own schedule while delivering essential services to those who need them most. You would maintain your own schedule and manage your bookings on the Tuktu Provider App.
Roles & Services
Service providers may offer one or more of the following services:
- Companionship: Providing social interaction and engagement
- Travel Assistance (with own car & Class 5 Driver's License) : Driving clients to medical appointments, errands and social outings
- Housekeeping: Cleaning, organizing, and maintaining a safe living environment
- Gardening Support: Basic yard work, plant care, and outdoor maintenance
- Pet Companionship: Assisting with pet walks, feeding, and general support
- Tech Assistance: Helping clients with smartphones, tablets, computers, and basic troubleshooting
- Kitchen Assistance: Meal preparation, cooking and cleanup
- Specialized Care (with HCA certification): Personal care, Dementia care, Post-hospitalization and Overnight Care
Key Responsibilities
As a Tuktu service provider, you are expected to:
- Manage your availability on the Tuktu Provider App
- Arrive on time at the scheduled service location
- Provide exceptional care with empathy, patience, and respect
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and, where appropriate, their family members
- Ensure client safety and comfort at all times
- Maintain accurate and timely records of services provided
- Represent Tuktu with professionalism and integrity
Experience & Requirements
General Requirements
- A genuine interest in supporting seniors and vulnerable individuals
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism
Work Structure
- Job Type: Part-time, Freelance
- Work Environment: In-person, one-on-one support in clients’ homes or community settings
- Compensation: CA$22.00 – CA$26.00 per hour
