Personal Lines Insurance Broker
Overview
Broker Canada Insurance Group Ltd. is seeking a motivated and client-focused Personal Lines Insurance Broker to join our growing team. This role combines ongoing service and account management for an existing portfolio of clients as well as quoting and binding new business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying client needs, providing insurance solutions, and delivering exceptional service throughout the client lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both sales and client service in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities
- Quote, market, and place new personal insurance business including automobile, home, tenant, condominium, recreational vehicle, and umbrella policies.
- Proactively identify cross-selling and account rounding opportunities within the existing client base.
- Manage and service an assigned book of business, including policy changes, renewals, coverage reviews, and claims support.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries while providing professional advice and exceptional customer service.
- Review client exposures and recommend appropriate insurance products and coverage enhancements.
- Collaborate with insurance carriers and underwriters to negotiate terms and secure competitive solutions for clients.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation within the brokerage management system.
- Follow up on leads, referrals, and renewal opportunities to support continued growth of the brokerage.
- Stay current on industry trends, insurer appetite, products, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to a positive team environment while helping achieve brokerage growth objectives.
Qualifications
- Active Alberta General Insurance Level 1 or Level 2 License.
- Previous personal lines insurance experience required.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Sales-oriented mindset with a desire to grow and retain business.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
- Proficiency with brokerage management systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Pay: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
