Flynn Canada Ltd., Canada’s leading building envelope trade contractor in the institutional, commercial and industrial construction marketplace is looking for a Glazing Project Manager to work from our Winnipeg location.
A Day in the Life
- Manage budgets and labour Targets
- Work closely with project team and customers
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, external suppliers, and customers.
- Identify potential conflicts and negotiate best solutions
- Main point of contact for assigned scope of work
- Lead project kickoffs, hand offs and autopsy meetings with the project team
- Work with Safety, Site Superintendent, and Foreperson to ensure all safety measures are in place
- Pre-plan the execution of projects and develop schedule with project team
- Develop, track and negotiate change orders
- Responsible for time, cost and overall project performance and quality
What We Are Seeking
- Min. 5+ years’ experience within a Project Manager, Estimator or Project Coordinator Role in a commercial construction industry.
- Experience in commercial glazing trade.
- Education in a civil engineering / building science program or a related educational field and asset.
- Knowledge of the curtain wall/glazing and building envelope industry is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in MS office and project management software, including MS Project, Procore, etc.
- Strong blueprint reading skills.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a team environment.
