Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating heavy-duty trucks over long distances to deliver freight efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, knowledge of freight handling, and the ability to operate heavy equipment as needed. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks over long-distance routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport freight efficiently from origin to destination, ensuring timely deliveries
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance or safety issues
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle readiness
- Follow company policies regarding safety procedures, hours of service, and load securement
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and issues
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience in freight transportation and long-haul driving preferred
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as forklifts is a plus
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and perform automotive repairs or troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving and freight handling
- Ability to manage time effectively during extended routes and overnight trips
- Physical capability to load/unload freight, including operating forklifts if necessary
- Prior experience with automotive repair or maintenance is advantageous

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
