Corrpro Canada is a technology-enabled Cathodic Protection services company that provides construction, inspection, engineering, materials management and custom software and hardware to deliver innovative and data-driven corrosion management solutions.
Position Summary
Under the supervision of senior personnel, the Corrosion Technician I supports the testing, evaluation and installation of cathodic protection systems. This is an entry level position which is directly supervised with little decision making or responsibility. A successful Corrosion Technician I will be able to learn and adequately demonstrate basic testing, evaluation, and installation skills.
WHAT YOU’RE RESONSIBLE FOR

Conduct various specific test procedures to gather data for evaluation purposes.

Gather structure-to-soil potential data, soil measurements and rectifier data.

Learning the complexities of a Cathodic Protection system and how they work.

Sketch physical features of installation site for subsequent detail.

Assemble data for preparation of final client report including service recommendations.

Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience: No previous experience required. Technical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience is an asset. AMPP CP1 with 1-2 years of experience is an asset. Class G driver’s license is required.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures.

Reasoning Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists and interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Regular field-based work with travel to customer sites

Extended periods of walking, lifting, and working near industrial assets

Overnight travel required based on project location
