Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated individual looking towards developing progressive skills for the position of Ground Work and Excavating. This role involves performing essential groundwork and training towards excavation tasks necessary for various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail and punctuality and a commitment to safety standards. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
Duties
- Prepare sites for construction by clearing debris, leveling ground, and digging trenches.
- Follow instruction from experienced excavator and foreman.
- Collaborate with team leader to coordinate work activities and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on-site to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Assist in the installation of utilities such as sewer lines.
Skills
Class 5 drivers license with own transportation to job site.
- Desire to learn and expand proficiency in operating machinery related to excavation work.
- Adhere to site safety practices and regulations.
- Follow leadership and training with lazer operation and equipment operation
- Excellent physical stamina and strength for manual labor tasks.
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork and coordination.
- Problem-solving skills to address challenges that may arise during projects.
- Previous experience in ground work or excavation is preferred but not mandatory.
