We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Baker to join our culinary team. This role focuses on the high-volume production of breads and baked goods for restaurant service and special events. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and high standards of quality in all baked items.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the baker position has experience in large-scale baking operations. They are organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet production demands while maintaining quality and efficiency. A strong work ethic and the ability to follow recipes and procedures precisely are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute high-volume production of breads, pastries, and baked goods for daily service needs
- Follow standardized recipes and portion guidelines to maintain consistency and minimize waste.
- Maintain a well-organized workstation and ensure mise en place is ready before each shift.
- Work efficiently to meet production quotas while upholding quality standards.
- Properly store, rotate, and manage inventory to ensure product freshness.
- Operate and maintain all bakery equipment, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
- Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation procedures, including cleaning schedules.
- Assist in packaging, labeling, and storing baked items for distribution.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline production and improve efficiency.
- Handle bulk ingredient preparation, including measuring, mixing, and portioning.
- Work effectively during peak periods and contribute to a smooth workflow.
- Accept and implement constructive feedback to enhance performance.
- Maintain professionalism, teamwork, and a positive attitude in a high-energy environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Pastry Cook, Production Baker, or in a similar high-volume baking role.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient handling, and large-scale production methods.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a structured environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Compensation:
Compensation for this role is estimated at $26.50/hour, which includes a base wage of $23/hour plus direct tips from guests. Tip amounts are paid directly by guests and are expected to average approximately $3.5/hour, though actual amounts will vary depending on factors such as guest volume and seasonality. While tips are not guaranteed, they can be a meaningful part of overall earnings in this position.
