K. Joly Contracting is hiring a Fence Crew Manager to lead our fence installation crew in Ottawa.
This is a working leadership role. You’ll be out on site every day, actively installing fences alongside the crew while also leading the job, setting the pace, and making sure the work is done right.
We’re looking for someone who leads from the front, takes pride in quality work, and can keep people, materials, and production moving.
Responsibilities
- Lead the fence crew on daily jobs while working hands-on with the team
- Install wood, vinyl/PVC, chain link, iron, composite, and aluminum fences
- Read layouts, confirm measurements, and manage site setup
- Assign tasks, monitor production, and keep jobs moving efficiently
- Maintain quality control and ensure work meets company standards
- Coordinate materials, tools, and equipment for each project
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, clients, and the office
- Enforce safe work practices and maintain a clean, organized job site
Qualifications
- Experience in fence installation and crew leadership
- Strong understanding of layout, post setting, gate installation, and finishing
- Comfortable leading a crew while also doing physical installation work
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Valid driver’s licence required
- Equipment experience is an asset
