The Environmental Technologist provides technical, administrative, and field support to Engineering staff in the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of environmental programs and projects. Working within the Utilities, Environment Section, the position supports the delivery of Surrey's environmental stewardship objectives through watershed management, fisheries and aquatic habitat protection, environmental monitoring, regulatory compliance, restoration initiatives, and capital project support. The role assists with environmental permitting and approvals, field investigations, environmental monitoring, data management, public education, erosion and sediment control compliance, and the delivery of environmental programs, including Surrey's Salmon Habitat Restoration Program (SHaRP).
