Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fleet Logistics Coordinator to lead the planning, coordination, and management of our transportation and fleet operations. In this vital role, you will optimize logistics processes, oversee fleet movements, and ensure seamless coordination between warehouses, suppliers, and transportation providers. Duties
- Coordinate and monitor fleet scheduling, routing, and dispatch activities to ensure timely delivery and pickup of goods across multiple locations.
- Manage transportation management systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to track shipments, analyze data, and optimize routes.
- Oversee freight procurement, including sourcing 3PL providers, negotiating pricing, and managing shipping & receiving operations.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams on order fulfillment, materials management, packaging, and warehouse distribution to streamline processes.
- Utilize data analysis skills to identify process improvements in transportation workflows, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
- Maintain accurate records within CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and AS400 platforms for fleet maintenance and inventory control.
- Support demand planning efforts by forecasting transportation needs based on sales trends, e-commerce orders, and seasonal fluctuations.
- Assist with procurement activities related to sourcing materials for packaging or fleet maintenance supplies while ensuring compliance with company policies.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, shipping & receiving procedures, and order picking techniques.
- Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Proficiency in data analysis skills to interpret logistics metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Familiarity with CMMS for fleet maintenance tracking and sourcing strategies within supply chain operations.
- Understanding of freight negotiations, pricing strategies, demand planning, and 3PL partnerships.
- Ability to operate forklift equipment safely in warehouse environments; experience with materials management is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in procurement activities, order fulfillment processes, and shipping documentation.
