MD Kitchen & Bath – Toronto & GTA
MD Kitchen & Bath is looking for an experienced Painter / Drywall Finishing Technician to join our growing residential renovation team across the Toronto & GTA area.
We are looking for someone who understands that quality painting starts with proper preparation. The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling the full finishing process — from drywall repairs and surface preparation to clean, professional final painting work.
This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in detail-oriented work, keeps job sites clean, and can work professionally inside client homes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Interior wall and ceiling painting
- Drywall repairs, patching, and minor drywall installation
- Mudding, taping, sanding, and finishing
- Surface preparation before painting
- Priming, caulking, touch-ups, and refinishing
- Ceiling repairs and ceiling painting
- Stucco/popcorn ceiling removal and refinishing
- Door, trim, baseboard, and casing painting
- Protecting floors, cabinets, countertops, and surrounding areas before work begins
- Keeping job sites clean, organized, and professional
- Working with project managers and other trades to complete projects on schedule
- Identifying and reporting surface issues before painting starts
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in residential interior painting
- Good knowledge of drywall finishing, mudding, taping, and sanding
- Ability to create smooth, paint-ready surfaces
- Experience with detailed finishing work on ceilings, trims, and doors
- Familiarity with primers, paints, rollers, brushes, sprayers, and sanding tools
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Professional attitude and respectful communication with clients
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working in occupied homes and active renovation sites
Preferred Experience (Strong Asset)
- Stucco or popcorn ceiling removal
- Residential renovation experience
- Ability to handle both prep work and final painting independently
- Own basic tools
- Valid driver’s license and transportation preferred
