About Vortex
Vortex develops software used by airports across Canada and internationally to simplify safety management and daily operations.
We’re a small, owner-led team that enjoys building long-term relationships with our customers and with each other. We believe in collaboration, continually improving our product, maintaining a healthy work-life balance, and combining modern software with old-fashioned customer service.
About the Role
This is a varied role supporting many aspects of our day-to-day operations. You’ll become an important part of our team, where every day brings new opportunities to learn, solve problems, and help our customers succeed. Success in this role begins with exceptional communication, curiosity, and initiative. As Vortex continues to grow, so will your responsibilities and opportunities.

- Configuring software and assisting with customer implementations
- Creating documentation, training resources, and internal procedures
- Supporting demonstrations, conferences, and day-to-day business operations
What Makes You a Great Fit

- A naturally curious problem solver who enjoys learning, investigating issues, and finding practical solutions.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, able to manage multiple priorities while consistently producing polished, high-quality work.
- Someone who thrives on variety, adapts easily to changing priorities, and enjoys contributing wherever they’re needed most.
Experience
We’re primarily looking for the right person rather than a specific résumé. If you’re adaptable, communicate professionally, enjoy learning, and take pride in producing high-quality work, we’d encourage you to apply—even if your experience doesn’t perfectly match every item below.
The following experience would be beneficial, but is certainly not required:
- Experience working directly with business customers (B2B), providing customer service, training, project coordination, or sales support.
- Experience creating documentation, user guides, knowledge base articles, training material, or other clear written communication.
- Experience working with business software such as Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), CRM, accounting, ERP, project management, or other enterprise software.
- Strong computer skills, confidence learning new technology, and experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT to improve productivity and problem-solving.
