We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sales Representative to join our team and help expand our customer base across the Greater Toronto Area.
Position Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong sales professional who already understands the food industry and enjoys building relationships with customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business, maintaining existing accounts, visiting customers regularly, taking orders, promoting products, and supporting the overall growth of the company.
This role is best suited for a self-motivated, organized, and results-driven person who is comfortable working independently and is motivated by commission-based earnings.
Main Responsibilities
- Visit grocery stores, specialty food stores, supermarkets, restaurants, and other potential customers across the GTA
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
- Present and promote Bartex Import & JC products to customers
- Take customer orders and follow up to ensure smooth processing
- Develop new accounts and identify new sales opportunities
- Monitor store shelves, product placement, stock levels, and merchandising opportunities
- Support product displays, promotions, and in-store visibility
- Follow up on credits, returns, damaged products, and customer concerns
- Collect payments when required and follow up on outstanding balances
- Communicate regularly with the office regarding orders, customer feedback, pricing, and market opportunities
- Stay informed about customer needs, competitor activity, and product trends in the food industry
- Represent the company in a professional, respectful, and reliable manner
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience in the food industry
- Strong knowledge of grocery, specialty food, ethnic food, or food distribution sales
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Fluent English and Polish are required
- Ukrainian, Russian, or other European languages are considered an asset
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle are required
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory
- Comfortable with commission-based compensation
- Professional attitude, strong work ethic, and motivation to grow sales
