We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while managing transactions accurately and efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle cash responsibly. A passion for retail sales and technology will enhance the customer experience as you assist with product demos and upselling.
Duties
- Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using a POS system.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selections.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
- Perform basic math calculations to process payments and provide change.
- Conduct merchandising tasks to maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor.
- Demonstrate products effectively to enhance customer understanding and interest.
- Upsell products by identifying customer needs and suggesting relevant items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure a smooth checkout experience for customers.
Experience
- Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Familiarity with technology sales or technical sales is advantageous.
- Experience with product demonstrations is beneficial for enhancing customer engagement.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
