Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and reliable landscaper or hardscape installer to complete a high-quality residential landscaping project in Langford, BC. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual or small crew with experience in paver installation, retaining walls, fencing, and landscape construction.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, has strong attention to detail, and is committed to delivering a professional finished product.
Project Responsibilities:
Paver Patio Installation
- Install approximately 327 sq. ft. of premium Techo-Bloc pavers.
- Prepare the work area.
- Remove and dispose of existing grass, gravel, and excess material.
- Install and compact road base and bedding sand.
- Ensure proper grading and drainage.
- Install polymeric sand and complete final compaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite throughout the project.
Fence Installation
- Install approximately 38 linear feet of 6-foot pressure-treated tongue-and-groove wood fencing.
- Install approximately 21 linear feet of chain-link fencing, including a 4-foot gate.
- Set fence posts in concrete and complete all finishing details.
Landscaping
- Remove vegetation and prepare the landscape area.
- Install landscape fabric.
- Install decorative rock.
- Plant new trees and shrubs.
- Install mulch in garden beds.
- Complete final grading and site cleanup.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous landscaping or hardscaping experience.
- Experience installing pavers and retaining walls.
- Experience building wood and chain-link fences.
- Knowledge of proper site grading and drainage.
- Ability to operate landscaping and construction equipment safely.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and professional communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Techo-Bloc or similar paver products.
- Experience reading landscaping plans or layouts.
- Ability to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship..
