Wage: $18.60/hour
Start Date: Hiring immediately, with various start dates available
Position Type: Full-Time, On-going (Must be available to work 40 hrs weekly plus overtime)
Shifts: Must be available for Day and Afternoon Swing Shifts or Straight Midnights
What You'll Be Doing
As an Automotive Production Associate, you'll play an important role in the production of automotive components by working safely, efficiently, and as part of a team in a physically active manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities may include:
- Repetitive lifting of automotive parts, including car doors, bumpers, and other components weighing 50+ lbs
- Loading and unloading parts from a moving production line
- Lifting materials above shoulder height throughout the shift
- Packaging and labeling finished products
- Performing visual quality inspections
- Supporting inventory control activities
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
- Following all safety, quality, and production standards
Position Requirements
- Experience working in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment is preferred. Manufacturing experience is an asset but is not required.
- Candidates with experience in construction, landscaping, commercial kitchens, paint line operations, warehouses, general labour, roofing, concrete work, agriculture, or other physically demanding roles are encouraged to apply.
- Comfortable working in a warm, non-air-conditioned production environment.
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong awareness of workplace safety and quality standards.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Reliable transportation (location is not on a bus route).
- Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing 50+ lbs throughout the shift.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing facility producing automotive components.
- Warm, non-air-conditioned environment that becomes hotter during the summer months.
- If you've previously worked in environments such as construction, landscaping, commercial kitchens, paint line production, warehouses without climate control, or other physically demanding workplaces, you'll likely find this work environment familiar.
- Dust exposure in some areas.
- Fast-paced production environment where safety and teamwork are essential.
Physical Demands
- Repetitive lifting of 50+ lbs throughout the shift.
- Frequent lifting above shoulder level.
- Standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.
- Continuous movement in a physically demanding production environment.
