Role Overview
Whole Health We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Regulated Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) to join our growing healthcare team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of pharmacy services while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.
As an RPhT, you will utilize your full scope of practice to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality for our patients.
Core Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, package, and dispense prescription medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Perform prescription data entry and medication reconciliation.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining medication stock levels.
- Conduct medication and prescription verification activities within the scope of practice.
- Ensure compliance with provincial regulatory standards, pharmacy policies, and procedures.
- Assist with third-party billing and insurance claims processing.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
- Support workflow optimization and quality assurance initiatives.
Qualifications
- Registered and in good standing as a Regulated Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) with the applicable provincial regulatory college.
- Pharmacy Technician Diploma from an accredited institution.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, medication dispensing, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with pharmacy management software is an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
