Hairstylist – Commission Based
Job Summary
Moon Salon is looking for a talented, passionate, and customer-focused Hairstylist to join our growing team in Caswell Hill, Saskatoon. This is a commission-based position offering flexible scheduling and the opportunity to build your own clientele while working in a modern, welcoming salon.

Responsibilities
- Perform women's and children's haircuts, styling, blowouts, coloring, highlights, balayage, and hair treatments according to client preferences.
- Conduct client consultations and recommend hairstyles, colors, and treatments based on their needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive salon experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools, equipment, and workstations in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Recommend retail products and additional salon services when appropriate.
- Assist with greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and answering customer inquiries as needed.
- Build strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and products through ongoing education.
Qualifications
- Haircutting Diploma or Hairstylist Diploma required.
- 1–2 years of hairstyling experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of haircutting, coloring, styling, and hair treatments.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Professional, reliable, and self-motivated.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for delivering high-quality service and creating an outstanding client experience.
Compensation
- Competitive commission-based compensation. This position is currently commission-based, with future compensation opportunities to be discussed as the salon continues to grow.
