Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance the dining experience. Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred, along with strong communication and time management skills. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possess a passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance guest experience
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries promptly and professionally, providing excellent guest services
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to handle food safely and adhere to sanitation standards
- Basic math skills for handling bills, making change, and processing payments
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Experience with food safety protocols and food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Hospitality or guest services background is desirable
- Willingness to learn food preparation techniques and upselling strategies
