Job Summary
Montclair Construction Limited is a well established construction company serving the GTA residential community for over 30 years. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated person to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of construction, including restoration, renovation and all facets of carpentry. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and the use of hand and power tools to complete projects efficiently and safely. The applicant will play a vital role in delivering high-quality craftsmanship on diverse construction projects, ensuring safety standards are met and client expectations are exceeded.
Duties
- Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute construction tasks accurately
- Perform finishing, and related restoration work with precision
- Perform a variety of carpentry tasks using hand tools and power tools
- Use woodworking techniques for framing and custom carpentry projects
- Handle heavy lifting safely to move materials or equipment on-site
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for various construction tasks
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Experience with finishing, framing and restoration techniques
- Skilled in general carpentry work
- Ability to operate equipment safely and effectively
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking techniques
- Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently without compromising safety or quality
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of construction work
