OVERVIEW
The Business Analyst Expert will play a crucial role in leading end-to-end business analysis within the B2B banking and credit sector. This position involves requirements elicitation, process modeling, and solution validation to ensure that business objectives are met and stakeholder expectations are exceeded. The candidate will work closely with business users to build knowledge of current processes and contribute to solutioning efforts.
The ideal candidate will have 7 to 10 years of experience in business analysis, particularly within financial services or capital markets. They will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead complex initiatives from concept through implementation. Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite is essential for success in this collaborative team environment.
Location: FCP/SCC, Hybrid (2 days onsite - Mondays & Tuesdays)
Contract Length: 6 months, with the possibility of extension
Hours: 9 A.M. to 5 P.M.
Pay: T4 $65-68 / IC $75-78
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead end-to-end business analysis, including requirements elicitation, process modeling, and solution validation.
- Break down complex problems, analyze data, and deliver clear, actionable recommendations.
- Ensure alignment between business requirements and technical design, particularly in platform transformation initiatives.
- Review and ensure quality of deliverables, including requirements documents, process flows, and data models.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate defect triage and resolution.
- Ensure solutions meet business objectives and stakeholder expectations prior to production deployment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7 to 10+ years of business analysis experience within financial services or capital markets.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Experience defining business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, process flows, data mapping, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, Visio, Microsoft Office Suite, and collaboration tools.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and lead complex initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Visio, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools including Power BI, SQL, and data visualization platforms.
PREFERRED
- Experience within Debt Capital Markets, Capital Markets, Fixed Income Trading, Syndication, Investment Banking, or Global Markets.
- Understanding of bonds, debt issuance lifecycle, book building, allocations, pricing workflows, trade lifecycle, and settlement processes.
- Experience with market data and capital markets platforms such as Bloomberg, IPREO, DirectBooks, Salesforce, or related systems.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
