We are looking for someone to join our landscaping team. This is a full time, year round position. We are looking for driven, hard working individuals who have experience in landscaping and snow removal.
The job will consist of snow removal of commercial sidewalks in the winter, and landscape maintenance including lawn and garden care. Winter work is on an on call basis in our snow and ice management division. Hours are based on the weather, therefore the candidate must be available 24/7. Past experience doing snow removal is a huge asset.
In the summer, the candidate may be doing any of the following maintenance work; grass cutting, spring and fall cleanups, garden maintenance, edging, weeding, mulching, planting, pruning. A normal work day is from 7:00 am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday with the potential to work the odd day on a weekend. We are a growing company looking to expand our landscaping division, so we are looking for the right people to join our team and grow with us!
This is a physically demanding job. The successful candidate must be physically fit and able to perform the daily tasks required of the job. This includes being on your feet all day, moving and lifting heavy objects, working in all weather conditions (extreme heat/cold, rain, snow).
Qualifications/skills:
- Hardscape/softscape experience preferred
- Snow removal experience an asset
- Willing to work long hours in the summer, unpredictable shift hours in the winter
- Proficiency using hand and power tools
- G License and clean driving record, and reliable transportation
- Attention to detail
- Organized
- Strong work ethic and good in a team environment
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
