RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Position summary
Under the supervision of the Technical Platforms Manager of the Centre for Innovative Medicine (CIM), the health professional (Kinesiologist or Exercise Physiologist) is responsible to conduct functional evaluations for various clinical research studies.
General Duties
- Conducts cardiopulmonary exercise testing on cycle ergometer or treadmill while monitoring gas exchange and other physiological parameters,
- Monitors 12-lead ECG, blood pressure and oxygen saturation,
- Conduct measures of body composition, musculoskeletal testing, functional tests, exercise training and many others according to research protocols
- Ensures quality control and maintenance of research equipment
- Promotes the use of efficient methods of work and provides a safe environment for patients,
- Completes Case Report Forms and provide source document to researchers with source documentation as per ICH/GCP guidelines,
- Conducts any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Education / Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in kinesiology
Work experience: min. 2 years
Professional membership: Member in good standing of a Quebec or Canada professional kinesiologist association
Required Skills
- Bilingual (excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English),
- Organized work.
Additional information
Status : Temporary Occasional (on call approx. 2 days/week)
Pay Scale: $28 to $52.01/hour Commensurate with education and work experience
Work Shift: Monday to Friday daytime (evening and weekend on occasion)
Work Site: Glen Site, 1001 Decarie Blvd.
