Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper/Office Administrator to join our team. This role is vital in maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day office operations, and supporting overall business functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills, experience with various accounting software, and excellent administrative capabilities to ensure smooth office workflows and precise financial management.
Duties
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software using QuickBooks online
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to verify financial accuracy
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities in financial data
- Assist with budgeting activities and financial reporting to support business planning
- Manage payroll processing and related documentation efficiently
- Maintain organized records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents
- Support general office administration tasks including filing, correspondence, and scheduling
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards
- Collaborate with external accountants or auditors during audits or tax preparations
- Other day to day office administrative duties as required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience with accounting software QuickBooks Online.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliation
- Knowledge of payroll processing and related compliance requirements
- Tax Knowledge: Solid understanding of Canadian small-business tax workflows (HST tracking, corporate filings, payroll source deductions).
- Familiarity with account analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting processes
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within the team
- Prior experience in office administration is preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
