Some of what you will do:
The Organizational & Leadership Development Specialist will drive Staples’ commitment to a high caliber associate experience, by supporting the implementation of talent programs that align with Staples goals, culture, and values. They will collaborate with the Organizational and Leadership Development (O&LD) team to research, develop, and administer various O&LD initiatives. They demonstrate exceptional communication, project management, judgement, and critical thinking abilities. Key focus areas include Employee Engagement, Onboarding, Performance Management, Leadership Development, Mentoring, Talent Calibration and Succession Planning, as well as Staples’ employer brand presence on social media.
Specifically, You Will:
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high quality execution of the overall Organizational and Leadership Development strategies.
Provide support with the execution of all O&LD programs such as: new hire orientation, employer branding, core competencies, leadership development and high potential programs, associate engagement survey and supporting programs, Staples’ high-performance framework (e.g., goal setting, quarterly check-ins, year-end performance reviews), talent calibrations and succession planning.
Partner to create and execute initiatives to enhance Staples’ employer brand presence on social media, drive traffic to career opportunities, and promote a positive experience with our employer brand.
Track projects using project plans and communicate with stakeholders to ensure milestones are achieved as agreed.
Complete project related administration and logistics for O&LD programs. Coordinate events and sessions for various developmental initiatives.
Apply a thirst for knowledge to stay abreast of social media, organizational development, and talent management trends, best in class practices and tactics for both related and non-related industries to enhance strategies and solutions.
Support members of the O&LD team to research, source and develop tools or programs that assist leaders and associates in building and sustaining a highly engaged workforce.
Some of what you need:
Post-Secondary education in Organizational Development, Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, Psychology, related discipline or equivalent experience required.
Project management, multi tasking, prioritizing a variety of deliverables.
Proficiency in MS Office; advanced level skill in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and structured approach to program management.
3-5 years of progressive combined experience in Organizational Development, Talent Management, Leadership Development, Change Management, or a related field.
Experience promoting employer brand through social media outlets is an asset.
