Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Team Member to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service, ensuring food safety, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. Ideal candidates will have a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Operate POS systems, including Givex POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders efficiently while upselling menu items when appropriate
- Handle cash transactions accurately and provide correct change
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food prep areas and dining spaces
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and organizing workstations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer questions or concerns promptly
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, serving, or cashiering within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Proficiency with POS systems, particularly Givex, for efficient transaction processing
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Basic kitchen experience or food handling knowledge is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment under pressure
- Upselling skills to promote menu items and enhance sales performance
