About The Role
RFL Wealth Management is seeking energetic, outgoing, and highly professional Event Support Staff to assist with our activation at the CANPAD CME Conference & Family Event in Halifax, NS.
This is a freelance contract. The contractor will be responsible for submitting invoices to RFL Wealth Management for services rendered. As an independent contractor, they are solely responsible for managing and remitting all applicable taxes, statutory deductions, and any other required government obligations. All invoices will be paid within 3 working days of receipt.
This year, RFL is creating The Freedom Experience — an interactive premium hospitality experience designed specifically for physicians and their families attending one of Canada’s largest healthcare conferences.
We are looking for team members who can help us create a high-energy, welcoming, and memorable booth experience while supporting attendee flow, giveaway participation, and overall event operations.
This is a fast-paced, highly interactive role where you will engage directly with conference attendees and help create an exceptional brand experience throughout the event.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will support our Freedom Lounge Activation Area and work closely with the RFL team throughout the conference.
Responsibilities may include:
Guest Experience & Hospitality
- Welcome attendees into The Freedom Lounge experience
- Create a warm, friendly, and high-energy first impression
- Help attendees navigate the booth experience
- Maintain a premium hospitality experience for all guests
Activation Support
- Assist with premium popcorn and slushie station management
- Help distribute complimentary copies of The Tax-Free MD
- Support giveaway entry process and attendee registration
- Assist guests with completing giveaway forms when needed
- Answer basic attendee questions about the activation
Crowd Flow & Engagement
- Help manage attendee flow during busy booth periods
- Guide physicians toward the Physician Wealth Zone for deeper conversations when appropriate
- Encourage participation in giveaways and booth activities
- Maintain positive energy around the activation throughout the event
Booth Operations
- Keep booth area clean, organized, and presentation-ready at all times
- Restock books, branded merchandise, giveaway materials, popcorn cups, and slushie supplies
- Assist RFL team with operational needs throughout event days
- Support setup and teardown activities before and after conference

Previous experience in any of the following is considered an asset:
- Events
- Hospitality
- Customer service
- Promotions
- Brand ambassador work
- Conference support roles
Event Dates
You must be available for all conference dates:
July 31 – August 2, 2026
CANPAD CME Conference & Family Event
Halifax Convention Centre
Halifax, Nova Scotia
(approx. 8-10 hours/day. Exact shift schedule will be shared prior to event.)
Training (Paid)
Mandatory virtual training session prior to event.
Training will include:
- Activation overview
- Event expectations
- Guest interaction guidelines
- Registration and giveaway process
- Booth flow and responsibilities
Estimated training time:
1 Virtual Session (1-3 Hours)
Compensation
$25 – $35 per hour (Based on experience) - Will be paid in 3 working days upon receipt of invoice from the Contractor.
Includes:
- Paid training session
- Event day compensation
