SCOPE OF ROLE:
The role involves maintaining and repairing automated and mechanical systems within the manufacturing plant to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This hands on position combines PLC troubleshooting with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated system support, while also coordinating maintenance activities, prioritizing repairs, and providing technical direction to maintenance personnel. The successful candidate will be 442A Certified (preferred), work closely with production teams to minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, and support maintenance initiatives across company facilities.

- 5-10yrs Manufacturing/Industrial related experience preferred
Hours of Work
- Monday - Friday 7am- 3:30pm
- Afternoon Shift as required by management (3:30pm-2:00am)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming and control circuitry troubleshooting and design.
- Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities to support production requirements and minimize equipment downtime
- Assist with scheduling preventative maintenance and tracking maintenance related work orders and repairs
- Provide technical direction and support to maintenance personnel and contractors while ensuring work is completed safely and effectively
- Work closely with Production and Management to identify maintenance priorities and improve equipment reliability
- Hands on working with mechanical assemblies, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated systems
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and control components
- Collaborate with millwrights and other trades to resolve complex equipment failures
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on integrated systems
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize PLC-controlled equipment (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent)
- AMS control system experience is an asset.
- Exposure to Fanuc or Kawasaki robotic systems is an asset, but advanced programming experience is not required
- Diagnose and repair electrical control systems such as PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servos, sensors, and safety circuits.
- Read, interpret, and update electrical schematics and control drawings
- Support control system modifications and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning
- Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime
- Assist with task planning, job prioritization, and coordination of maintenance activities
- Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
- Prior leadership, lead-hand, or mentoring experience
- Willingness to support off-shift or on-call maintenance as needed/ short notice.
- Travel between company facilities as operational demand requires
- Provide on-site technical support during breakdowns, startups, shutdowns, and peak production periods
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Other tasks as assigned by the company
- Attend all continuing education and required job related training provided by the company
