Pharmacy Assistant position:
Come and join our friendly pharmacy team at Pharmasave Main & 30th. Our Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants are very kind, caring, and provide a safe environment for work. We differentiate ourselves from others by utilizing the appropriate amount of labour to workload ratio. You should expect to work efficiently, but never be overwhelmed, as we make it a priority to take care of our team with a people first approach.
Our company currently has a job opening for an energetic, detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant. Ideal candidates will have a background in community pharmacy, as well as being self-motivated, hardworking and reliable. The successful candidate will have great communication skills and be committed to providing excellent customer service.
Applicants should have flexible availability across days of the week and expect to work FT hours. Previous community pharmacy experience would be an asset, but is not required. We are willing to train the right person. Additional language skills would be an asset to help with communications in our diverse neighbourhood, but is not required.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service.
- Inventory management (order and put away front store and pharmacy stock).
- Process prescription orders.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information.
- Bag and prepare prescription medications for delivery.
- Call and/or fax Prescribers with follow-up
- Ability to learn specialty compounding
- General clean-up and tidy-up for the store
- Duties will adjust over time for the store as needed
