About Us:
We are a family-owned, West Indian bar/restaurant dedicated to providing excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Sweep, mop and clean the establishment regularly.
- Maintain cleanliness of washrooms.
- Handle food preparation using the deep fryer and other kitchen equipment.(food handlers certification is required for this position)
- Clean the kitchen and equipment at the end of each day.
- Open or close the business and work flexible hours as needed, based on the schedule.
- Assist with front and back of house duties.
- Perform beer/liquor runs as needed (Valid driver's license is an asset but not required).
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure timely and efficient meal service.
- Monitor food inventory and communicate any shortages or discrepancies.
- Serve alcohol if required (Smart Serve certification is required for this position).
Requirements:
- Punctuality and reliability is a MUST
- Smart Serve certification is a MUST
- Food Handlers certification is a MUST
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Ability to handle food and kitchen equipment safely.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including opening and closing shifts
- Ability to follow recipes accurately with attention to detail to ensure food quality and presentation standards are met.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures.
