Veterinary Receptionist
We are looking for a veterinary receptionist to join our team!
Job Duties:
· Efficiently and accurately perform clerical and reception duties, such as taking phone calls, patient intake duties, schedule appointments, answers questions, process payments and maintain front office flow.
· Correctly enters client and patient information and confirms it’s up-to-date at every visit.
· Is able to diffuse client conflict in a professional, hospitable and tactful manner
· Provides exceptional client service and builds relationships with clients through service, respect, and professionalism.
· Contributes to smooth communication throughout a client’s visit and seeks answers to any client questions or concerns.
· Routinely contributes to the cleanliness and organization of the practice.
· Greets, handles, and treats pets with kindness, compassion, patience and skill using Fear Free techniques. Nurtures an environment that makes them feel safe and secure.
Qualifications
· Prior reception experience providing exceptional client service both in person and over the phone is required.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
· Ability to plan and prioritize
· Multi-tasking and organizational skills
· Excellent written & verbal communication skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
· Follows progressive patient care standards while supporting a positive work environment.
*Experience with Avimark would be an asset
On site training will be provided, however previous experience in the medical and/or veterina-ry fields would be an asset.
Wage: $18-$20 per hour based on experience

Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Veterinary Medicine: 1 year (preferred)
- Receptionist: 1 year (required)
