We are actively looking for highly-skilled individuals with a background in Child and Youth Work (CYW) or equivalent qualifications, who possess experience in working with individuals with high-needs, diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other mental health conditions that may involve challenging behaviors. Cornerstone is currently in search of candidates to fill four crucial, part-time, positions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide dedicated support to clients with ASD and other mental health conditions, which may include challenging or aggressive behaviors.
· Collaborate effectively with a diverse team to ensure the best possible care and support for clients.
· Be available to work varying shifts, including weekends, to ensure uninterrupted assistance to clients.
· Hold a valid G class driver's license, maintain a reliable vehicle, and provide proof of insurance for client transportation.
· Possess UMAB (Understanding and Managing Aggressive Behavior) certification and be skilled and at ease in implementing UMAB safe restraints when required.
Qualifications:
· Background in Child and Youth Work (CYW) or equivalent relevant qualifications.
· Demonstrated expertise in providing care to individuals with high needs, specifically those with autism spectrum disorder and various mental health conditions.
· A strong commitment to client well-being, safety, and emotional support.
· Flexibility to accommodate different shifts, including weekends, to meet client needs.
· Possession of a valid G class driver's license, a dependable vehicle, and current insurance for client transport.
· UMAB certification and confidence in applying UMAB safe restraints.
