We are seeking a dedicated Overnight Certified Personal Support Worker to provide compassionate care and support to clients in their homes or assisted living facilities. This role is essential for ensuring the safety, well-being, and comfort of individuals requiring assistance during nighttime hours. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, working with individuals with disabilities, or dementia care, and possess strong caregiving skills. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications following prescribed schedules and protocols
- Monitor clients’ health status and report any changes to healthcare providers or family members
- Provide companionship and emotional support during overnight hours
- Support clients with mobility and transfer assistance as needed
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to individual dietary needs
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Support clients with activities such as reading, playing games, or engaging in hobbies
- Follow all safety procedures and healthcare guidelines to ensure client well-being
Requirements
- Valid Certified Personal Support Worker certification or equivalent credentials
- Experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care preferred
- Prior experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or dementia care is highly desirable
- Ability to administer medications accurately and safely
- Compassionate caregiving skills with a patient-centered approach
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to work overnight shifts reliably and independently
- Basic knowledge of cleaning and meal preparation techniques for maintaining a safe and comfortable environment
- Must be able to pass background checks and meet all licensing requirements related to caregiving roles
