Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate transportation and logistics operations within our supply chain network. The ideal candidate will manage freight movements, communicate effectively with drivers and clients, and utilize various transportation management systems to ensure timely deliveries. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment supporting shipping, receiving, and supply chain processes across multiple platforms.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily dispatch activities for freight and shipments, ensuring efficient routing and scheduling.
- Utilize transportation management systems such as SyteLine, AS400, and other TMS platforms to track shipments, update statuses, and generate reports.
- Manage shipping & receiving operations, including scheduling pickups and deliveries with carriers and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate data entry related to freight movements, shipment details, and inventory updates.
- Communicate with drivers, carriers, and clients via multi-line phone systems while demonstrating professional phone etiquette.
- Analyze shipment data to identify delays or issues and implement solutions promptly.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize freight processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during dispatch activities.
- Assist in managing 3PL relationships and coordinate logistics support as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with transportation management systems such as SyteLine, AS400, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, freight management, and shipping & receiving procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally.
- Proficient in data entry, typing skills, and analysis of shipment data for operational improvements.
- Knowledge of freight industry standards and 3PL operations is preferred.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience working with shipping documentation and analysis tools is a plus. This position is integral to maintaining smooth logistics operations within our organization, requiring a proactive approach and excellent communication skills to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
