You will be working primarily at our kitchen operation location. However, due to the nature of our business we do lots of off-site events at our clients locations.
If you are successful your initial tasks will include;
- Supporting the Chef in maintaining constant quality control according to related standard recipes.
- Assisting in controlling production sanitation standards as per Alberta Health and Urbane Culinary.
- Supporting the Chef to achieve projected sales while maintaining as well as controlling food, labour and other controllable costs.
- Supporting the Chef in providing backup to other locations when necessary.
- Supporting the Chef in managing and overseeing online ordering- aligning with Food Cost targets.
- Supporting the Chef in managing, creating and organizing inventory for the kitchen operation.
- Supporting the Chef to manage, organize and maintain kitchen scheduling for the food operation.
- Supporting the Chef to manage and organize an inventory of items in the cooler, dry storage and freezer.
- Supporting the Chef to manage and organize the cleaning schedule for the kitchen.
- Supporting the Chef to manage, organize and assist in the food costing of the kitchen operation.
- Supporting the Chef to manage, organize and oversee the smooth production of food and quality control of the kitchen team.
- Supporting the Chef to keep overproduction and waste to a minimum.
- Work may be required in the evenings, on weekends and on public holidays.
Previous cooking experience is required. We are preferably looking for candidates with Journeyman and Red Seal Certification.
