Who are we looking for?
At ArcelorMittal Tubular Products, we are looking for someone to join us at the forefront of the steels industry. We are a world-class designer, manufacturer, and fabricator of high-quality steel tubing and tubular components/assemblies for automotive and non-automotive applications. As a Full-Time Tooling Inspector, you'll be a part of our operations team - an integral part of our organization - and you'll be contributing to the overall function and success of our production operations.

Key Accountabilities
- Setup tooling for changeovers on mill 2
- Clean and polish tooling for mill 2
- Build mandrels, tow rods, impeders and coils for the mills, manufacture coils for mill 2 on an emergency basis
- Clean galv boxes for mill 2
- Clean and build Squaring boxes for mill 2, prepare a second box for mill 2 on Afternoon shift if the mill runs back to back shapes
- Make ID and OD plugs for the mills
- Clean Mill and Cutting department dies, deliver and pick-up dies from the Maintenance
- Track and replenish inventory of cutoff blades on all three mills and have Receiver re-order when required
- Accumulate worn blades and arrange to have them delivered to regrind shop
- Monitor and maintain tooling supplies (i.e. mandrel parts) and provide re-order details to Leadhand
- Monitor and replenish consumables for mills (i.e. blades, scarfing tools, steel wool)
- Replenish galv wire for mill 1, 2 and 3
Position Requirements
- Grade 12 or GED
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience working in an industrial/manufacturing setting
- Willingness to learn new skills & positive attitude
- Previous experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment is preferred
- Ability to understand and follow standard operating work procedures
- General mathematical skills are required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Hours of Work
- A typical work week is 40 hours; overtime as required
- Midnights - 11:00pm to 7:00am
