Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Working Site Supervisor / Team Leader to Lead and work with the crew on a daily basis overseeing residential construction projects throughout the Bancroft region. This is not a sit-back supervisory role. The successful candidate will be expected to lead from the front—working alongside the crew daily while managing the job site. This position is ideal for someone who can take ownership of a project, keep the crew productive, and maintain high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and work with the crew on a daily basis
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities
- Read and interpret architectural and construction drawings
- Ensure projects are completed according to specifications and timelines
- Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant job site
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Set the pace on site and ensure productivity stays on track
- Monitor material usage and report on site progress
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of residential construction experience
- Proven experience leading crews and running job sites
- Strong hands-on ability in framing, finishing, and general carpentry
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Must be reliable, self-motivated, and willing to work alongside the team
Work Environment
- Projects located within approximately a 1-hour radius of Bancroft
- Mix of new builds, renovations, and general residential construction
- Outdoor, physically demanding work environment
