Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Vision Therapist to join our dynamic optometry team. No previous experience or training is required comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided. However, candidates with experience in physiotherapy clinics, occupational therapy settings, educational support roles, early childhood education, childcare settings or other related health and educational environments are encouraged to apply, as this experience would be considered an asset. We will train you to be a vision therapist where you will work closely with patients of all ages. You will help improve their visual skills and enhance their overall visual performance through individualized therapy programs. This role is ideal for someone who has a willingness to learn, strong communication skills and who is passionate about making a difference in people’s lives and enjoys working one-on-one with children and adults.
Responsibilities (training provided)
● Conduct one-on-one vision therapy sessions with patients
● Develop and implement personalized vision therapy plans
● Monitor and document patient progress
● Educate patients and their families about vision therapy exercises
● Maintain a clean and organized therapy area
● Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities provided by the office.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care and the ability to motivate and encourage patients.
