Position Summary
We are looking for a motivated Junior Project Manager to support the delivery of environmental remediation and abatement projects in Calgary . This role provides an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop project management skills while working alongside experienced industry professionals. The successful candidate will assist with project planning, coordination, scheduling, and compliance activities to help ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Assist senior project management staff with the organization and execution of remediation projects.
- Help coordinate field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and project resources.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and technical documents to support project planning.
- Track project schedules, budgets, and key milestones to ensure operational targets are met.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Maintain project records, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Communicate with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal team members regarding project updates.
- Utilize project management and construction software to organize information and monitor project activities.
- Participate in identifying opportunities to improve project performance, efficiency, and safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience, education, or training related to construction, environmental services, or project coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Familiarity with estimating principles and project costing processes.
- Experience using software platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar project management tools.
- Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
- Knowledge of construction or industrial safety procedures is considered beneficial.
- Exposure to scheduling software such as Primavera P6 is an advantage.
- Experience in asbestos, mould, or hazardous materials remediation is preferred but not required.
