Reporting to the Director of Health & Wellness the Unregulated Care Provider will:
- adhere to the plan of care as determined by the Director of Health & Wellness
- Facilitate residents' move in and transfers
- Observe and report on residents service
- Assist the resident with personal care
- Observe and report on changes in residents
- Escalate medical emergencies to supervisor or emergency medical services
- Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transferring and adaptive aids
- Demonstrate understanding of resident needs and maximize abilities
- Provide cognitive, social, emotional and psychological support to the resident
- Maintain resident confidentiality
- Respond to resident concerns and ensure appropriate action is taken
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment
- medication administration
Required Education and Experience:
- Graduate of Personal Support Worker program
- Experience working with seniors in the community health services setting
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required
- Lifting and transferring skills
- Current (within 6 months) Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening
