Personal Injury Lawyer – Associate (2+ Years' Experience)

As our practice continues to grow, we are looking for an ambitious and motivated Associate Lawyer to join our team and help manage our expanding personal injury practice.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload of plaintiff personal injury matters from initial intake through settlement or trial. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys litigation, values client relationships, and wants to grow professionally within a dynamic and supportive firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of plaintiff personal injury files from intake to resolution.
- Meet with clients, provide legal advice, and maintain regular communication throughout the litigation process.
- Draft pleadings, motions, mediation briefs, settlement materials, and other legal documents.
- Conduct examinations for discovery, attend mediations, pre-trials, motions, and court appearances.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
- Prepare matters for arbitration, tribunal hearings, and trial when required.
- Work closely with the principal lawyer and support staff to achieve outstanding client outcomes.
- Maintain accurate file management and ensure compliance with litigation deadlines.
Qualifications
- Licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience practicing plaintiff personal injury litigation.
- Strong knowledge of accident benefits and tort litigation.
- Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and litigation skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with PracticePanther or similar legal practice management software is considered an asset.
