Position Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, conscientious person who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The Bottle Depot is looking for a pickup and delivery driver to join our team to service our weekly pickups and weekend Bottle Drives! The ideal candidate should have an eye for detail and share our passion for keeping recyclable waste out of the landfills. The position will be responsible for safely processing materials for re-use, transporting materials efficiently and supporting the Bottle Depot’s contribution to the green economy in BC.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Operate a 5-ton truck to pickup and deliver recyclables.
- Load, unload and reorganize truck cargo with an electric pallet jack and power tailgate to maximize efficiency.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to maintain working order.
- Pick up and drop off supplies needed for weekend bottle drives.
- Provide exceptional customer service to our Bottle Drive organizers.
- Fulfill our customers’ requirements by accurately counting and recording bags of Refundable Beverage Containers.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Develop a positive working relationship with staff, customers, suppliers that will result in ongoing improvements and successes for the Bottle Depot.

CORE COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Must have clean drivers abstract
- Air Brake Endorsement an asset
- Minimum 2 years experience driving 5 ton trucks, or similar
- Recent experience operating electric pallet jack and Power tail gate for loading and unloading trucks
- Excellent time management skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour
