Core Technical Requirements:
Strong hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and FOCUS
Experience working in batch processing environments
Hands-on knowledge of CA-7 scheduling
Strong understanding of flat files and dataset-based processing environments
Capability to analyze and interpret legacy/custom-developed programs , including:
Understanding program logic and workflows
Identifying data flows and dependencies
Supporting maintainability and system documentation
Key Expectations:
Ability to independently review and assess existing mainframe codebase
Strong analytical skills to decode and document legacy systems
Prior experience in onsite lead roles , managing and guiding offshore teams
Nice to Have:
Exposure to GIT / GitLab
Experience with IDz (IBM Developer for z/OS)
Mandatory Skills: Application Modernization - Mainframe .
Experience: 5-8 Years .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from CAD 77000 to CAD 120000 .
