Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead and coordinate maintenance operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing maintenance personnel, ensuring equipment reliability, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining a safe and productive workplace.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to equipment maintenance, safety, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, schedule, and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team.
Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation-related issues in collaboration with maintenance technicians and production teams.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, food safety, and company policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and spare parts inventory within the CMMS system.
Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and facility improvement initiatives.
Provide technical leadership, coaching, training, and mentorship to maintenance personnel.
Partner closely with production leadership to minimize downtime and support operational objectives.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, efficiency, safety, and cost reduction.
Qualifications
3–5 years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience within a unionized manufacturing environment.
Food manufacturing experience preferred; experience in a related manufacturing industry will also be considered.
Millwright, Electrician, or related skilled trade certification is considered a strong asset.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation systems.
Experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Proven success implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong leadership, communication, and employee development abilities.
