Position Overview
Santec Canada is looking to add a Production Technician to the team. The purpose of this position is to assemble, test and repair fiberoptic units to meet quality standards and customer satisfaction. The Production Technician ensure that all work is completed in a professional and timely manner while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities
· Splice fiberoptic cable
· Solder electrical and PCB cable assemblies
· Crimp cables
· Prepare and assemble units and parts of varying complexity
· Arrange and organize optical fiber inside units
· Align optical switches
· Test and troubleshoot products and record results
· Create test reports
· Program PCB’s
· Monitor inventory levels to maintain adequate stock of necessary parts
· Maintain a clean and safe work area
· Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Position Requirements
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail
- Ability to work as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Computer skills in data entry, MS Word and Excel
