NexSource Power is a growing Alberta-based manufacturer and rental supplier of industrial power generation equipment. We design, build, rent, sell, and service natural gas and diesel generator packages ranging from 50kW to over 2MW, supporting customers throughout Western Canada and the United States.
We're looking for a motivated, organized individual to take ownership of our Parts Department while managing shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations. This is a hands-on role that is critical to supporting our manufacturing, service, and rental teams. Key Responsibilities
- Order, receive, stock, and issue parts for manufacturing, service, and rental projects.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and warehouse organization.
- Pick and stage parts for technicians and production staff.
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing freight with transportation companies.
- Prepare shipping documentation including packing slips and bills of lading.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Source parts and materials from suppliers while obtaining pricing and lead times.
- Track backorders and ensure critical parts arrive on schedule.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Maintain Inventory Records.
- Assist with warehouse organization and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Work closely with Service, Production, Purchasing, and Sales to support daily operations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional warehouse environment.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory control, or parts position.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable using computers and inventory management software.
- Experience using an ERP system such as Odoo or similar inventory management software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, power generation, or heavy-duty mechanical shop.
- Experience working with heavy-duty engine, generator, or industrial equipment parts.
- Knowledge of diesel and natural gas power generation equipment.
- Familiarity with manufacturers such as CAT, Cummins, PSI, Deutz, Stamford, Mecc Alte, Deep Sea Electronics, or ComAp.
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract.
- Ability to read equipment manuals, exploded parts diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
- Previous purchasing or vendor management experience.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and an interest in industrial equipment.
