Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented Front Desk Agent to join our hotel team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of hospitality standards, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly valued to assist a diverse guest demographic.
Duties
- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and professional demeanor
- Check guests in and out efficiently using multi-line phone systems and reservation software
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with tact and professionalism
- Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately
- Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services
- Maintain accurate guest records and billing information
- Answer phones promptly following proper phone etiquette
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction
- Uphold security protocols by monitoring access points and managing guest keys
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support smooth hotel operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in front desk or hospitality roles preferred; hotel experience is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable attitude
- Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in multiple languages or bilingual capabilities is advantageous
- Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently
- Knowledge of guest services standards and hospitality best practices
- Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for a front desk environment
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
- Familiarity with reservation management software is desirable
